Most evenings there will be a choice of east and west coast oysters. east coast: "genuine" bluepoints from the south bay of long island in fall, summer and spring. blue island oyster company - our restaurant's main oyster provider - are the only growers with access to the great south bay and that is the only place where "genuine" bluepoints grow. these oysters are medium in size, briny and even a touch sweet and plump. they are gorgeous, unlike many of the brittle, flat bluepoint imposters seen frequently in the city.
